General Requirements
Authors who submit manuscripts to Al-Miftah: Jurnal Sosial dan Dakwah must ensure that their manuscripts comply with the journal's focus and scope, academic standards, and publication ethics.
The submitted manuscript must:
- Be an original work that has not been previously published or is not under consideration by another journal.
- Present research findings, conceptual analysis, or literature reviews relevant to social studies, Islamic studies, and da'wah.
- Follow the journal's writing guidelines and manuscript template.
- Use academic and clear language.
- Include appropriate citations and references from relevant scholarly sources.
Manuscript Types
Al-Miftah: Jurnal Sosial dan Dakwah accepts:
1. Research Articles
Articles presenting original research findings using qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-method approaches.
2. Conceptual Articles
Articles discussing theoretical perspectives, critical analyses, or conceptual developments related to Islamic studies, social sciences, and da'wah.
3. Literature Review Articles
Articles that systematically analyze previous studies and provide comprehensive insights into specific research topics.
Manuscript Structure
Manuscripts should generally contain the following sections:
Title
- Written clearly and concisely.
- Reflects the main topic of the article.
- Maximum recommended length: 15–20 words.
Author Information
The manuscript must include:
- Full name of author(s);
- Institutional affiliation;
- Email address of corresponding author.
Abstract
- Written in Indonesian and English.
- Contains background, objectives, methods, main findings, and conclusions.
- Maximum length: 200–250 words.
Keywords
- Consists of 3–5 keywords.
- Represents the main concepts of the article.
Introduction
The introduction should explain:
- Research background;
- Relevant previous studies;
- Research problems or gaps;
- Objectives and significance of the study.
Literature Review / Theoretical Framework
Contains relevant theories and previous studies that support the research.
Method
Explains:
- Research design;
- Research approach;
- Data sources;
- Data collection techniques;
- Data analysis methods.
Results and Discussion
Presents research findings and discusses them critically by connecting them with theories and previous studies.
Conclusion
Provides answers to research objectives and highlights the main contributions of the study.
References
Contains all cited sources using a consistent citation style.
Manuscript Formatting
Authors should follow the following formatting requirements:
- File format: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx)
- Paper size: A4
- Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt
- Line spacing: 1.15–1.5
- Margin: Normal (2.54 cm)
- Length: Approximately 4,000–8,000 words
- References: Minimum 15–20 academic references recommended
- Citation style: APA 7th Edition
Citation and Reference Requirements
Authors are encouraged to use recent and relevant scholarly references, including:
- Peer-reviewed journal articles;
- Academic books;
- Research reports;
- Other credible scientific sources.
Authors should prioritize recent references published within the last 5–10 years, except for fundamental theories or classical references.
The journal recommends using reference management tools such as:
- Mendeley;
- Zotero;
- EndNote.
