Plagiarism
Al-Miftah: Jurnal Sosial dan Dakwah is committed to maintaining academic integrity and preventing all forms of plagiarism and academic misconduct. The journal considers plagiarism as a serious violation of publication ethics and does not tolerate any form of plagiarism in submitted manuscripts.
All submitted manuscripts will be screened for plagiarism using plagiarism detection software before entering the peer review process. The screening aims to ensure the originality of manuscripts and prevent inappropriate use of other authors' works.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that submitted manuscripts:
- Are original works written by the authors themselves.
- Properly acknowledge and cite all ideas, statements, data, findings, and sources obtained from other works.
- Do not contain copied text, ideas, or research results without appropriate attribution.
- Have not been previously published or submitted simultaneously to another journal.
- Do not involve data fabrication, data falsification, duplicate publication, or other forms of academic misconduct.
Similarity and Plagiarism Threshold
Manuscripts with a high similarity index or indications of plagiarism will be returned to the authors for correction or may be rejected by the editorial team.
The journal recommends that manuscripts maintain a reasonable similarity level according to academic publication standards. The editorial team has the authority to determine whether the detected similarity constitutes plagiarism based on the context, citation practices, and originality of the manuscript.
Actions Against Plagiarism
If plagiarism or unethical publication practices are identified, the journal may take the following actions:
- Reject the submitted manuscript before publication;
- Request clarification and correction from the authors;
- Withdraw published articles if plagiarism is discovered after publication;
- Notify relevant institutions when necessary.
Author Responsibility
Authors are fully responsible for the originality and integrity of their submitted manuscripts. By submitting an article to Al-Miftah: Jurnal Sosial dan Dakwah, authors confirm that the manuscript complies with ethical standards and does not violate intellectual property rights.
The editorial team encourages all authors to practice proper citation, responsible academic writing, and respect for the intellectual contributions of other researchers.
