Dakwah Kultural Komunitas “Ngasango” di Kabupaten Pamekasan

Abstrak

Cultural da'wah is an approach to Islamic preaching that integrates Islamic values with local cultural traditions, enabling religious messages to be conveyed in ways that are more contextual and socially acceptable. This study aims to analyze the cultural da'wah practices of the Ngasango Community in Pamekasan Regency, focusing on the preaching methods employed, the supporting and inhibiting factors, and their contribution to community empowerment. This research adopts a qualitative approach using field research. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and were analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings reveal that the Ngasango Community implements a cultural da'wah model through "ngaji sambil ngopi" (Qur'anic study while sharing coffee), which serves as a dialogical, inclusive, and culturally relevant communication medium. This approach successfully attracts young people by delivering Islamic teachings in a relaxed atmosphere without diminishing their substantive values. The supporting factors include active youth participation, strong community support, and the flexibility of the preaching methods. Meanwhile, the main challenges involve limited resources, differing public perceptions of the da'wah model, and issues related to the sustainability of community activities. This study concludes that the cultural da'wah practiced by the Ngasango Community represents an adaptive and effective model of Islamic preaching that responds to contemporary social and cultural dynamics while strengthening the internalization of Islamic values through a humanistic and participatory approach.
