Urgensi Bimbingan Dan Konseling Islam Terhadap Spiritualitas Santri

Abstrak

The spirituality of santri is an essential aspect in developing an Islamic personality, including religious awareness, internalization of Islamic values, and the ability to implement religious teachings in daily life. Within the context of Islamic boarding school education, which involves various social and psychological dynamics, Islamic guidance and counseling play a strategic role in helping santri develop spiritual quality and overcome various life challenges. This study aims to analyze the urgency of Islamic guidance and counseling in enhancing santri spirituality. This research employs a qualitative approach using a library research method. Data were obtained through the review of relevant literature, including books, academic articles, and scholarly sources related to Islamic guidance and counseling and santri spirituality. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis through identification, interpretation, and conclusion drawing processes. The findings indicate that Islamic guidance and counseling have an important role in strengthening santri spirituality through psychological and religious assistance, enhancing worship awareness, developing moral values, and improving santri’s ability to face life challenges based on Islamic principles. Islamic guidance and counseling function not only as a problem-solving service but also as a preventive and developmental process to create santri with balanced spiritual, emotional, and social qualities. This study concludes that Islamic guidance and counseling serve as an important instrument in supporting the development of santri spirituality and strengthening the educational objectives of Islamic boarding schools.
