Duties and Responsibilities of Editors

Editors of Al-Miftah: Jurnal Sosial dan Dakwah are responsible for:

  1. Evaluating submitted manuscripts objectively based on academic quality, originality, relevance, and contribution to knowledge development.
  2. Ensuring that manuscripts are reviewed fairly without discrimination based on the author's identity, institutional affiliation, gender, religion, nationality, or other personal characteristics.
  3. Maintaining the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and information related to the review process.
  4. Selecting qualified reviewers who have appropriate expertise related to the manuscript topic.
  5. Making final decisions regarding manuscript acceptance or rejection based on reviewers' recommendations and editorial considerations.
  6. Preventing conflicts of interest during the editorial and publication process.
  7. Ensuring that all published articles comply with ethical standards and publication policies.

Duties and Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers play an important role in maintaining the academic quality of published articles. Reviewers are expected to:

  1. Conduct reviews objectively, critically, and constructively.
  2. Evaluate manuscripts based on scientific quality, originality, methodology, analysis, and contribution.
  3. Maintain confidentiality of all information obtained during the review process.
  4. Identify relevant references that have not been cited by the authors.
  5. Inform editors of any potential conflicts of interest or ethical concerns regarding the manuscript.
  6. Complete reviews within the agreed timeframe.

Duties and Responsibilities of Authors

Authors submitting manuscripts to Al-Miftah: Jurnal Sosial dan Dakwah must:

  1. Submit original works that have not been previously published or submitted to another journal.
  2. Ensure that all data presented in the manuscript are accurate, reliable, and obtained through responsible research practices.
  3. Properly acknowledge and cite all sources, ideas, and previous research used in the manuscript.
  4. Avoid plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, and other forms of academic misconduct.
  5. Ensure that authorship is limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to the research and manuscript preparation.
  6. Disclose any potential conflicts of interest related to the research or publication.
  7. Respond to reviewers' comments professionally and revise manuscripts according to editorial requirements.
  8. Immediately notify the editor if errors are discovered in published articles and cooperate in correcting or retracting the article when necessary.

Plagiarism and Misconduct Policy

Al-Miftah: Jurnal Sosial dan Dakwah strictly prohibits plagiarism, duplicate publication, fabrication, falsification, and other forms of academic misconduct.

All submitted manuscripts may be checked using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts with significant similarity or evidence of unethical practices may be rejected or withdrawn from publication.

Conflict of Interest

Authors, editors, and reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may influence the objectivity of the research, review, or publication process.

The editorial team will take appropriate measures to manage conflicts of interest and maintain the integrity of the publication process.

Corrections, Retractions, and Editorial Actions

If errors, ethical violations, or inaccuracies are identified after publication, Al-Miftah: Jurnal Sosial dan Dakwah will take appropriate actions, including publishing corrections, clarifications, expressions of concern, or retractions in accordance with ethical publication standards.
