Abstract

The rapid development of information and communication technology, particularly social media platform TikTok, has provided easy access to information and entertainment for young generations, while also posing significant challenges to moral development. Uncontrolled exposure to content such as inappropriate language, consumptive behavior, and trends conflicting with moral values can affect students’ ethics, manners, and social behavior. This study aims to identify and analyze the impact of TikTok usage trends on students’ morals based on previous research findings. The method applied is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR), collecting, selecting, and reviewing literature from relevant journals published in recent years. A critical analysis was conducted to identify both positive and negative patterns of influence. The findings reveal that TikTok has two sides: it can enhance creativity, skills, and self-confidence, yet its negative impacts are more dominant, including a decline in ethics, addiction, consumptive behavior, and the spread of unethical content. This study recommends strengthening digital literacy, providing intensive guidance from parents and teachers, and reinforcing regulations to optimize TikTok’s positive potential while minimizing its adverse effects..
