IMPLEMENTASI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE THINK PAIR SHARE DALAM PEMBELAJARAN KAIDAH NAHWU

Abstract

Learning Nahwu is often considered difficult and boring by students due to the dominance of conventional teacher-centered methods. The Think Pair Share of cooperative learning model offers a more interactive and student-centered alternative. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Think Pair Share of cooperative learning model in improving students' understanding of Nahwu and active participation. This study used a qualitative approach with classroom action research methods implemented in two cycles. The subjects were 32 eighth-grade students at SMKI Sunan Kalijaga Tulungagung. The data collection techniques included observation, tests, and interviews. The results of this study showed that the implementation of the TPS model demonstrated a significant increase in students' understanding of Nahwu rules, with an average pre-test score of 65.3 increasing to 82.7 in the second post-test cycle. Active student participation increased from 56% to 87.5%. The Think Pair Share cooperative learning model has been proven effective in improving students' understanding of Nahwu rules and active participation through the stages of student thinking, pair discussions, and sharing with the class.
