About the Journal
Asasi: Journal of Islamic Family Law is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to advancing scholarly discourse in the field of Islamic Family Law. The journal focuses on publishing original research articles that critically examine classical and contemporary issues within Islamic legal traditions, particularly in the areas of marriage, divorce, inheritance, guardianship, gender justice, and child protection.
Asasi serves as a scholarly platform for academics, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to explore and disseminate ideas that contribute to the understanding and development of Islamic Family Law in various socio-cultural and legal contexts, especially in Indonesia and the wider Muslim world. It welcomes submissions that demonstrate rigorous methodology, critical analysis, and relevance to contemporary debates in Islamic legal thought and practice.
The journal is published biannually in April and October by the Islamic Family Law Study Program, Institut Agama Islam Miftahul Ulum Pamekasan, Indonesia. All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process to ensure academic quality and integrity. Asasi is published in open access format, ensuring free and global availability of its content to the academic community and the public.
