About the Journal

Asasi: Journal of Islamic Family Law is a double-blind peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes high-quality and original research in the field of Islamic Family Law. The journal is committed to advancing scholarly knowledge and fostering critical discussions on classical and contemporary legal issues related to the Muslim family, especially within the context of Indonesian and global Islamic societies.

The journal offers an interdisciplinary forum for scholars, practitioners, and policymakers to explore legal, social, philosophical, and ethical dimensions of Islamic Family Law. It emphasizes research that bridges traditional Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh) with modern legal systems, socio-cultural dynamics, and emerging challenges faced by Muslim communities today.

Asasi invites manuscripts that demonstrate rigorous methodology, theoretical depth, and practical relevance. The journal particularly welcomes studies that address: marriage and divorce, child custody and guardianship, inheritance, domestic violence, gender equity, legal reform, and the interaction between Islamic and national legal systems.
