Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to Asasi: Journal of Islamic Family Law undergo a double-blind peer review process. This means that both the reviewers and authors remain anonymous throughout the review.

Review Workflow:

  1. Initial Screening
    Each submission is first reviewed by the editorial team to assess its relevance, originality, and compliance with the journal’s guidelines.

  2. Plagiarism Check
    Manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection tools. Submissions exceeding the acceptable similarity threshold will be rejected.

  3. Double-Blind Review
    Eligible manuscripts are sent to at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field. The review focuses on:

    • Academic quality and originality

    • Methodological soundness

    • Theoretical and practical contribution

    • Ethical considerations

    • Clarity of presentation

  4. Editorial Decision
    Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editorial team will decide to:

    • Accept

    • Accept with minor revisions

    • Revise and resubmit

    • Reject

  5. Revision and Final Decision
    Authors must address reviewers’ comments thoroughly. The revised manuscript may be returned to reviewers for re-evaluation before the final decision is made.

Duration:

The peer review process typically takes 4–8 weeks depending on reviewer availability and the complexity of the manuscript.

Reviewer Selection:

Reviewers are selected based on their scholarly expertise, publication record, and absence of conflicts of interest.
