Abstract

This study aims to examine Islamic law's efforts in addressing domestic violence (KDRT). The focus of this research is to analyze how Islamic law provides guidance and solutions in handling KDRT through a comprehensive approach. The method used is field research with observation, interviews, and documentation. Data is obtained from interviews with victims, perpetrators, families, religious figures, and local law enforcement. The analysis is conducted using a sociological normative approach that combines Islamic law and the social context of the community. The results show that Islamic law teaches that marriage should be based on love, mutual respect, and justice between husband and wife. Islam prohibits all forms of domestic violence and emphasizes the importance of good communication, patience, and wisdom in resolving conflicts. If KDRT occurs, Islam offers solutions through reprimand, mediation, and divorce if necessary. Furthermore, Islam also emphasizes the prevention of KDRT through religious education, good communication, and the fulfillment of the rights of both husband and wife, with a focus on protecting the economic, psychological, and physical rights of partners. With a wise approach, good religious education, and mutual understanding, Islam provides a comprehensive solution in preventing and addressing KDRT in society.
